5 Beneficial Reasons for Choosing an MBA Program

Without a doubt, an MBA program is not just immersive, it’s also intensive. Whether you allow yourself the entire four years — and perhaps more, if your chosen school for enrollment allows extensions — to complete an MBA program — or you decide to speed things up and complete the program in two years or less, pursuing a Master’s Degree is not a matter to be taken lightly. Considered by many to be one of the highest ranking educational degrees out there, a Master’s Degree has the capability of opening many doors for you. So if you have been considering applying for an MBA program, here are five reasons to go ahead and do so:

1. You’ll feel accomplished.
Even if you already have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree, there’s just something to be said about being able to tell someone you have a master’s degree. Even if your master’s degree is in a specific field, such as health care or information technology, you’ll still have those bragging rights. And more than likely, you’ll have a matching paycheck.

2. You’ll earn a higher salary.
It’s true: in the health care field alone, the average median salary for 2012 was just shy of 90 thousand. Wouldn’t that look great on your tax return? Granted, you’ll have a lot of student loans to take care of, but you’ll also be earning a generous salary that will more than compensate you for the hard, earnest work you’ll be doing.

3. You can study at your own pace.
Today’s accredited schools offer many comprehensive MBA programs that are also quite flexible. Go for the traditional 4-year program, squeeze everything into a 2-year program, or pick something in between. You simply need to determine the classes and credits you need to graduate, and go from there.

4. You can study online.
It’s entirely possible to obtain your MBA without ever setting foot in a physical classroom. Today’s students aren’t just teenagers fresh out of high school – they’re 20-something grads who are juggling full-time jobs, and 30-something parents who have to think about what to make for dinner and when the next soccer practice is. Subsequently, many schools offer online courses – so an online MBA with no GMAT isn’t just a dream, it’s a reality that may be offered at the school of your choice!

5. You only have one life to live.
It’s cliche but true: you only have one life to live, so you should make the most of it. And, you’re getting older with each passing day. The best time to go through the rigors of an intense MBA program is now, while you’re still young and your body can better tolerate the stress that a hectic schedule comprised of family, work, and educational tasks and commitments will place upon it.
